On my day off it would rain, so it was no surprise when I woke up to a lovely thunder storm!!! OHHHHHH THE UKKK <3
After spending many hours catching up on those addictive beauty videos on you tube, that are clearly what my life revolves around, I decided to make another smoothie and prepare some Kachumber to have with my dinner.

Kachumber is a cucumber and tomato salad ... its bloody tasty and I'm sure the majority have had it before (usually served with poppadoms and Indian food). Its simple as to make and basically I don't really need to tell you how to make it, as the picture is pretty much self explanatory!!! but what the hell I'm bored and you have obviously came here due to bordem and with the need to read something interesting (as always ;) ).

 1/2 large white onion, diced
2 inch piece of cucumber, peeled, seeded and diced
4 ripe cherry tomatoes, diced
3 tbsp finely chopped coriander (leaves and stems)
2 tbsp finely chopped fresh mint (just leaves)
Juice of ½ a lemon
Salt, pepper and sugar to taste

I also woke up to receive my two parcels !!! I swear its so much more fun receiving parcels than buying in store...I might just spend the rest of my life ordering online.
Basically a friend suggested making luggage stand out so I followed her brilliant advice and bought some iron on transfers...I eventually want to fill up my rucksack OH it would look so cool!

I just bought these of ebay/amazon...so so cheap, but will jazz my rucksack up so good!

OFCOURSEEEEE....bordem led me to make ANOTHER smoothie. BUT... this time i used:

a hand full of frozen raspberries, by freezing them this make the smoothie much thicker.I mixed in frozen yogurt, a little bit of milk and some ice cubes. I blended it all together and then added this to my cup and started on the second part.

I also used frozen mango about half of it and mixed this with juice from 1 orange, I added in some more ice cubes, blended and then poured it on top of the previous blend. It created a really cool layered effect and who doesn't enjoy layering ?!!!!!

OHHH and from my post the other day, my dress is from URBAN OUTFITTERS!! grabbed a bargain at £25 in the sale so this will deffiniitly be coming with me to OZ ;)

OHHH and so will my lovely new kindle and its skin I purchased a few weeks ago....

I mean, the strawberry's where definitely necessary....they just show how creative I am .....  (clearly) ahah

anywayssssssss byeeeee

It is now 8 WEEKS !!! I repeat, 8 WEEKS!!!!!!!!!!!

OK, so this is all becoming too real, and quite frankly too much to handle. The amount of documents, preparation and packing is stressing me out!!!!!!!!!!
I'm one of these people who worry, and even when their is nothing to worry about, I think I just make things up in my head so I can just worry. Its contagious and definitely genetic (thanks mom)

So far, I think I'm all good on the paper work stuff, and all other boring things that need doing. Iv got to tell you, I'm not all that good at being organised with shit like this.
However, with packing, well I guess that's another story.....

I still have a lot to sort, however, I do feel I have the majority which is a good thing. On the other hand, I don't think I'm going to look like your average backpacker, strutting around the streets of 0Z in my floral dresses.....(definitely going to fit right in ;) )

Makeup, I am yet to pack, and to be honest I think this is going to be difficult. I have so so much as you all know, but there is no way I can take it all. I'm thinking, just stick to the basics shawnice, that's all you will need. I don't think foundation and mascara sweating down my face is a good look!?

Life is too crazy at the mo, I am graduating this Friday WOO! however, I still have yet to book a good old fancy meal out...and now I know high heels will not be appropriate for walking/falling on stage, I now have to start my mission to find some flat shoes...OH FIRST WORLD PROBLEMS.

ANNDDD if that wasn't stress full enough, I need to cancel my phone contract, arrange a million and one appointments before I leave, arrange a leavers meal at work, and sort this body of mine out!!!!

Healthy food is a MUST right now...there is no way I'm rocking it on BONDI BEACH without looking mighty fit and fine ;)

Iv bought a bundle of good old fruit and veg and thought....why not get the bad ass blender from out the garage ( garage you might ask?, yeah our dumping ground in other words)

SOOOOO.... I followed this recipe.... (kinda)

  • 14 ozs ice
  • 250 ml yoghurt (natural)
  • 41/3 floz soy milk    - OF WHICH I DIDNT USE!!!
  • 21/2 ozs blueberries
  • 21/2 ozs raspberries
I chopped up all my fruit and whacked it in the blender for a few seconds and this is how it turned out ........

awwwww sooo goooooddd!!!

yeah, that's just me, chillin and taking in what little sun we have....

I mean its no smoothie, but iv been dealing with such big withdrawal symptoms today!!

9 hours without coffee and I was like something from the exorcist today ... I think this may be another issue I need to add on my list of life issues.

Number 1 - ALWAYS drink coffee

PS - The above photo shows my happiness at my now healthy hair....joyous times and squinty eyes (thanks sun)

Countdown begins....

Hey, late night writing sesh so here it goes......

I have never been fulfilled with my life, now i don’t know whether that is due to the choices I have made, or the choices that have not yet, crossed my path. I am however, an idealist, now again I’m not too sure whether this is a good characteristic or something that will be quite destructive.

I have always wanted more in life, commitment, work and those roles we feel necessary in society almost make me want to run away even further. I feel lost lately, and i absolutely hate it, it could be due to the fact i have now finished my life in education, and now after pushing myself through years of hard work and stress, i have nothing to show for myself. Yeah, i am proud and yes i have a great degree, but what do i truly have. It seems everyone is moving too fast around me, and I’m motionless or even just kind of floating about in my own world.

I can tell you this, although the choices i have made in life are truly of my own doing so, i feel they have all led me to the biggest choice i have and will ever make. Leaving for Australia, on my own with my life in a backpack scares me, it scares me more than i can even say. Yeah im going to see and experience some of the most amazing things i think i will ever see and feel. But i am truly scared of being alone, alone. I want so badly to find the things in life that truly make me happy as staying in the UK is certainly not something i want. Why would i want to be around people who have no ambition in life, no enthusiasm to find the things in life that are so rare and daring.

I am leaving behind not only friends and family, but i feel like I have to leave behind a little bit of me, which freaks me out. I love all things beauty and fashion, and it’s always been a big part of my life, however, i know this is something that i will have to become detached from.

I have no idea what is in store for me, but i am hoping that i find the things that make me realise that what i am doing is a good thing, and in life if those ambitions don’t scare you then i guess they’re not worth it, right?!

Talk about a depressing blog...I just want to be able to look back at this when I’m over there and realise I’m doing this for a reason and for nobody else.

I am 21 with absolute freedom, this can either go two ways, however, when i look back and see all i have achieved i am sure this is going to be something i will not regret

Peace out, ill keep the blogs coming, although they will not be so deep next time, i  promise

updates, makeup and letters

Ok, so I seem to always start my blogs the same way, trying desperatly to make you understand why I havnt been blogging much.
These excuses will not be made again, I promise, due, to the fact I have now finished my degree and in a few months I will hopefully be a psycholgist....now how fancy is that!!!!
I am so happy to be able to devote all of my time to blogging now and talking about the things I have such a passion for. Hopefully, I will be starting a vlogging chanel within the next few weeks, once I have stolen my dads camera equipment. Bare with me guys, I am so so so nervous about doing this so lets hope its not shit  :)
So much has happened latley...(as does always in my life!) Like I said I have not only completed my degree, but I will soon be packing my bags..and when I say bags I mean one suitcase that has to fit 2 years of my life in. I will be leaving for Australia on the 28th of August and although, this is one of the biggest steps I think I will take in my life, I without a doubt think its going to be the greatest.

I will be living/working and travelling for 2 years around OZ, and hopefully, venture to Thailand if ofcourse my credit card allows me :)
Like iv said in previous posts I like change, and if you only have one chance in this life why not see it all ? I am certainly not the type of girl who wants to settle down and live a 9- 5 working job.
I cant understand why anyone wouldnt want to experiance what life has to offer ?!
I am so happy and proud that I have not only finished my degree but I have a lot more belief and confidence in myself that I never thought I would have. These three years have been the hardest but I have done so much and made some of the greatest friends.
OH how can I forget, I changed my hair...I am no longer white!

.......................enough with the update lets talk beauty

So theirs one thing iv been dying to try latley however, could not manage to pull out £70 of my own money, especially when im trying to save...(and fail miserably).
However, when my sister announced she was taking a detour to Las Vegas I knew I had to harrass her untill she bought me it!

Now is this a thing of beauty or not?
I had my doubts about this little gem, not only have their been numerous bad reviews on sites and youtube videos, but iv heard its just not worth the money. With these doubts in mind, I still couldnt stop thinking about it :(
Yes the pigmentation is a little shoddy, but lets face it Mr Jacobs has provided a top notch array of neutral colours encased within the most beautiful and sleek casing.
The colours I feel can easily be found in a urban decay naked pallette, and yes the fall out is unbelivable! I mean jesus theirs more around the casing than on my fucking eyelid!
Although their seems to be a lot of downfalls with this product, I do really enjoy this pallete, its so quick easy and the shadows are so damn creamy!!!!

Now I have to express my love for the BYTERRY ombre blackstar in the colour misty rock!!!! This cost me £28 and it was deffinitly worth the investment although the price does not express that. The BYTERRY stick is a cream eyeshadow, its so easy to apply to the lid and the staying power is unreal. I find this is so easy if you want a quick look without too much effort.
I also invested in the ESTEE LAUDER double wear glow concealer as I have previously ran out of the YSL touch eclaut. This cost me around £25 and I find that the ESTEE LAUDER concelear is so much better than the YSL, due to the different colours that are available. I obviously choose the lightest as I am whiter than a ghost. It brightens and luminates under the eyes wich is perfect. It dosnt crease at all along with that it stays put all day. Along the same lines, I purhcased a cheaper alternative the LUMI magic by LOREAL for the days where I dont really want to wear my expensive make. So far soo good :) ! However, the colour just isnt light enough for me and it hardly 'luminates' wich sucks.

Now the LAURA MERCIER body souffle is something I have been eyeing up for a while now ever since I heard great reviews. I purchased the cream in 'creme brulle' and my god it smells amazing ! so sweet on the skin and so creamy to apply. I deffinitly reccomend you go smell it if your near a LM counter :) this stuff is pretty damn expensive like, so I dont think I will be purchasing any more any time soon.

aside from the beauty talk...I also ventured to wagamamas with my lovely friend to celeberate the end of uni life and exams, it had been too long <3

Now dont I have the best family in the world <3

OH iv started a new book (now that im not knee deep in journals)....

Lindsey Kelk is such a great author, her books are so effortless to read and its like im travelling all over again....should check her out!!!

speak soon

Im home for the weekend...so that only means on thing - a beauty blog!

Iv been purchasing a few things latley that Iv had my eye on for quite some time.

Starting firstly with my order I placed a few weeks back, wich ment a bundle of parcels on my arrival home.

This is a life saver for any one with silver hair!! I swear by this and would recomend it to anyone. This blue solution completley cancels out every single yellow tone that may make an appearance once in a while, leaving your hair all sparkly and silvery!!

tapered blending brush - £18.00

These brushes are insane and well worth the money! The blending brush is so soft and allows for precision blending in the crease wich is perfect if you want that defined look.
The eyeliner brush is perfect and creates a clean and sleek look to your eyeliner.

Whether your a beginner or just passionate about makeup this book is amazing. It explains in detail application of makeup to skin care routines. I bought this book of AMAZON for £10 wich I think is great. I cant wait to start reading it and experimenting more with my makeup.
